Office and Communications Manager Job Description

Pittsford Community Church is looking for a well-rounded, creative, and skilled individual to be responsible for the general operation of our office as well as manage all communication for the church. In this role you will need to have strong graphic design skills, be comfortable with using various social media platforms, and have strong giftings in administration and communication.


Responsibilities include:

  • Daily management of the church office – includes answering/forwarding emails and phone calls, greeting/directing visitors, coordinating the use of the building, maintaining a master calendar, composing and sending out communiqué to the church, ordering supplies, paying invoices, maintaining office equipment, and keeping office records.
  • Designing/managing all graphics for the church and producing newsletters, posters, brochures, and other publications to promote and communicate church activities.
  • Assisting and coordinating with ministry leaders in implementing communications strategies through all church media, including print, A/V, social media, and web.
  • Maintaining and updating the website and other social communication outlets.
  • Supporting Sunday services, communication, and other ministries through the design and development of video and digital motion communications.
  • Being able to answer and direct inquiries properly.
  • Providing administrative support to staff members – includes preparing reports and presentations and drafting correspondence as requested.
  • Filing, copying, faxing, typing of reports and correspondence, or any other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
  • May supervise other office staff or volunteers.



  • Must have an understanding of and willingness to serve within the doctrinal commitments of the church, as well as a willingness to make PCC their church home.
  • Must possess strong administrative and communication skills. Must be able to communicate clearly, concisely, and lovingly.
  • Must possess strong graphic design skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills and be able navigate and maintain social media platforms.
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to exercise creativity and sound judgment without close supervision.
  • Must have the ability to analyze, update, and alter current systems and processes to maintain efficiency.
  • Must have working knowledge of or be willing to learn Planning Center Online, Powerchurch, and Smore
  • Preferred to have ability to create and edit video for testimonies, announcements, and other promotional material.


Pay: $17.75-$20.25 / hr.
