Care Package Initiative

Care Package Initiative

Our Care Package Initiative was launched on Sunday, March 28, 2021.  This ministry seeks to support two groups within our community:

  1. Nurses and other medical workers in our local hospitals who are in need of prayer, appreciation, or encouragement.
  2. Area small businesses who have been hurt by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please view our introductory video based on a NY Times Opinion video, “Inside a Covid I.C.U., Through a Nurse’s Eyes”.

PCC partnered with Tree Town Cafe to create “care packages” valued up to $100.00.  The care packages are filled with products and goodies from local merchants and a gift card from one of the following:

Care packages continue to be distributed to nurses or other medical workers as a special “thank you” for all their work during these challenging times. As this initiative is ongoing, packages can be sponsored fully ($100) or partially. Please use this link to donate (select “Care Packages” on the “General” drop down menu).

We encouraged members or our church family and all donors to include a hand-written note. These were included with one of the care packages along with a QR code that directs the recipients to the PCC website where they can request prayer, pastoral counsel, and more information about the Gospel.

PCC held a prayer “send-off” for the packages in the Sundays services on April 18th, 2021.  Many special stories and testimonies have come in since.  We also continue to visit and bless the small businesses whose products are in the care packages.

If you are local area business or a PCC attender who would like to be involved, please email us at, or call the church office at 585.248.8260.
